Programmable Nozzles
MP Systems' Z-Cool programmable position high-pressure coolant nozzle is designed to provide coolant at the cutting edge and to take advantage of the machine part program to automatically adjust the nozzle position as the tool wears. The high-pressure coolant stream reduces heat and lubricates the tool, dramatically improving tool life, cycle times, and surface finish.
Since the part program is used to automatically adjust the position of the nozzle to the cutting edge of the tool, no machine operator input is required. This allows the machine to run unattended, making more parts. This also improves safety by eliminating the need for the operator to adjust nozzles inside the machine.
The Z-Cool is extremely effective when through the spindle cooland fed tools cannot direct the high-pressure coolant stream at the cutting edge or the specifc coolant fed tool is not available.
The Z-Cool can be used in conjunction with MP Systems' high-pressure coolant systems for through the spindle coolant and/or programmable nozzle high-pressure coolant maximizing productivity.

- The Z-Cool can use the machine flood pump, high pressure coolant system (up to 3000 psi) or near dry machining (mql).

- Nozzle assembly
